Michigan Greenhouse Wedding Venue

Lexi and Cody planned a March wedding at the Planterra Conservatory near Detroit, Michigan. Their vision was to keep things timeless, romantic, and elegant. Their first dance song, and the writing on their wedding cake, was ‘You Are The Best Thing.’ And I truly think their whole wedding looked and felt just like the vibe of that song.

The beauty of having a greenhouse wedding is that it doesn’t matter the weather outside, you’ll always have perfect weather inside the conservatory. Additionally, you can have lush greenery in your wedding photos even in the middle of winter when there’s no greenery outside! Lastly, greenhouse wedding venues have the best lighting. The soft natural light that floods through the all-glass exterior makes for the best photos.

Planterra Wedding: Classic, Timeless, Romantic

I love how Lexi and Cody incorporated so many personal touches into their wedding day as well. They both love ice cream, so we photographed their engagement photos last summer at a local ice cream shop. For their wedding day dessert, they decided to cater ice cream from the same shop!

They also brought along their dog Milo for some wedding photos, and he stole the show. They had a telephone guest book so guests could leave them messages all night long for them to listen back on some day. The cutest part was Lexi and Cody left themselves a message too! They snuck away during the reception to record a message that I’m sure they’ll listen to and cherish forever.
