I adore elopements, and this Northern Michigan elopement was no exception. They are so intimate and memorable. For couples who don’t like to be in the spotlight, who want to forego the bulk of wedding planning stress, and who wish to have a laid back wedding day, I always recommend eloping.
I have lots of elopement planning guides to help couples plan the perfect day. Plus, I’m always thrilled when they opt to have a Northern Michigan elopement because there are so many beautiful places to elope in Michigan (check out my favorite locations here!)
This was the case for Jordan and Jake. COVID ruined their original wedding plans, so all they wanted was to get together with their favorite people at their favorite place and get freaking married. And I’m so glad they did!
Jordan & Jake eloped at 2 Lads Winery on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City on a crisp fall day. Rather than waiting to reschedule the big party, they opted for something simple and intimate, and they don’t regret a thing.
Northern Michigan is absolutely stunning in the fall. We had the best weather and autumn colors to set the scene for their day. Traverse City is the top destination for wineries in Michigan, so we were given special permission to hold their ceremony in the vineyards of their favorite winery.
They exchanged their vows with just their families watching, and it was such an honor to witness this intimate wedding experience. We visited the Mission Point Lighthouse at the end of the peninsula for a few more photos. Then we ended the night with food and drinks at a delicious Italian restaurant in downtown Traverse City.
