I cannot think of a more romantic way to leave a wedding reception! Emma & Matt hopped into a canoe and paddled away from their wedding straight into the sunset and it was pure magic.

They are another couple that was affected by COVID and had to forego their larger wedding plans for an intimate backyard wedding at Matt’s parent’s lakehouse. It was simple and quaint, yet such an emotional and special day for everyone involved. 

I always tell couples to schedule some alone time into their wedding. At some point in the day- take a step back together, away from all the guests, and soak it all in. Remember why everyone’s here. Remember all the time you spent planning. Remember all the reasons you love this person. And remember that after the sun sets on this day, the real adventure begins!
