Palm Springs, California is one of my favorite places to capture weddings and elopements! Whether you’re looking for something boho or romantic, whether you’re wanting mountain views or a poolside resort, there’s something for every bride in Southern California and that’s what I love so much about it.
I’m Tylee Shay, a Destination Wedding and Elopement photographer. I’ve seen some of the best wedding venues in Palm Springs, and I’m here to help you find your dream spot to tie the knot!
First and foremost is the O’Donnell House, a charming villa tucked away on a mountainside. Their ceremony set-up has incredible mountain views and lush plant life, and the reception terrace is both cozy and customizable. They also offer 17 luxurious guest rooms so your friends and family can stay right on site.
If you’re wanting destination wedding vibes without having to travel overseas, this is the place for you. Korakia is the only place you will find both charming Mediterranean details and edgy Moroccan vibes in the Southern California desert. With several courtyards and pool decks to choose from, mountain views, incredible textiles, and jasmine scented air (yes, you read that right) Korakia will transport you and up to 130 guests into a magical escape.
This venue was made for the rustic, boho bride. Rimrock Ranch is a 36 acre ranch located just outside of Joshua Tree National Park with assorted cacti, retro Airstream trailers, unbeatable desert sunsets, and the occasional faraway coyote howls. You can either rent out the whole space for you and all of your family and friends, or reserve just a portion of the property for a more intimate elopement getaway.
Villa Royale is a beautiful backdrop for any classy, romantic wedding right in the heart of Palm Springs. Stretching over acres of lush property, Villa Royale offers multiple courtyards, pools, and a grassy terrace that is perfect for walking down the aisle. This is the best blank slate for any minimalistic bride, with an added bonus of palm trees and mountaintops in the background.
Colony 29 is a unique event space with several different areas to celebrate your marriage. Their stunning ceremony Amphitheater is placed in front of a rock wall full of cacti and plant life setting an earthy vibe while you exchange your vows. And the Gardens space features an extensive green lawn that is perfect for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. Their diverse property can host up to 300 guests with additional vignettes for smaller, intimate gatherings.
This luxury home rental is great if you’re looking for a wedding venue that you can totally customize to fit your unique wedding vision. The large property has many features including a waterfall, rocky ceremony site, grassy reception lawn, and panoramic views of the mountains. There is plenty of variety and space here for you to curate a wedding scene that is totally unique to you and your partner.
This quaint Spanish estate is a hidden gem located in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs. With several garden, lawn, and courtyard wedding settings and beautiful Spanish architecture everywhere you look, there’s so much variety and potential here for charming weddings with both large and small guest counts.
If you’re a mid-century modern lover, The Lautner Compound is the venue for you. Their outdoor event space is private and modern with a stunning ranch house that serves as a bridal suite, and a custom bar area that makes for the perfect cocktail hour. The Lautner Compound has hosted weddings from 12 guests up to 200 guests, and is extremely customizable to fit whatever size party you’re planning.
If you’re looking for a more urban, industrial wedding vibe, check out the Kimpton Rowan Hotel. Their rooftop patio offers stunning views of the nearby mountains, as well as a pool and bar for a fun, relaxed reception scene. Their onsite wedding planners are ready to help you coordinate every detail, and room blocks make it easy for all of your family and friends to stay the night onsite.
This spacious property overlooks the Coachella Valley and offers a unique wedding weekend experience for you and your guests. The Smoke Tree Ranch staff is ready to help with every event over your wedding weekend, including a rehearsal dinner or welcome event, a farewell brunch, and of course, the ceremony and reception.
The Parker hotel is an artful space for couples to exchange their vows. With lush greenery, endless photo ops, several restaurants and an art museum onsite, there is so much for your guests to do and see. You can either reserve one of the wedding spaces and have the hotel remain open to outside guests, or you have the option of reserving all 144 rooms along with the restaurants and have the whole place to yourselves.
