These two invited me to their family cottage located on the breezy Atlantic coast of Maine. We dedicated one day to a National Park photoshoot, and it was my favorite day of the whole trip.
We explored the small fish towns, Acadia National Park, blueberry fields, and other hidden gems tucked away in the quiet state of Maine. Of course, we also ate some lobster!
I feel like Maine is such a hidden gem. Located in the the top corner of the United States, it’s often forgotten. However, this is what makes it so special. The fact that it’s always quiet and slow is what makes it so enjoyable.
I’m a firm believer that you do not need an excuse to capture memories with the person you love! You don’t need a milestone anniversary. You don’t even need to be engaged or married!
That’s why I offer Adventure Sessions. They are for couples who believe that their love with worth investing in and worth capturing.
I also love when couples take me somewhere personal for their photoshoots! Karis & Jake have spent years exploring Maine together. All throughout their dating, engaged, and married life, their relationship has grown through summers spent at their cottage in Maine.
In fact, a few years ago they even got engaged at that cottage! And I was there to capture their proposal! It was such a special day and I was beyond thrilled to be a part of that moment in their relationship.
That’s what made this National Park photoshoot so special. The fact that they love this place so much, makes these photos even more meaningful. Similarly, being in a place they are fully themselves, makes the images that much more candid and effortless.
Thanks for an amazing experience, Karis & Jake. Let’s do more adventuring together sometime!
