Just two weeks before their wedding, Jenna and Cole’s sweet dog Mickey was diagnosed with cancer. Mickey is their world, the one & only member of their bridal party, and just weeks before the big day they seriously didn’t know if he would make it to the wedding, or if the wedding could even go on without him.
We prayed & prayed, and their pup not only made it to the wedding, but he was the star of the show and his tail was wagging all day long. Their ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking Lake Michigan, and their reception was held in a banquet room with chandeliers and a live bluegrass band.
The weather was perfect for a fall day in Northern Michigan, and Mickey had the time of his life swimming in Lake Michigan and running around Mission Point Resort. The day after the wedding Jenna and I both texted each other the same thing: “God is good.”
It’s little God-things like this that are getting me through this year. I feel like with 2020 we have gotten used to expecting the worst. If aliens invaded tomorrow i don’t think any of us would be surprised, am i right? But instead of focusing on all the bad and being prepared for the worst, I’m making it a goal to focus on the good and be hopeful for the best.
The little ‘God-things’ are not so little to me this year.
Congrats Jenna & Cole!! Your day was absolutely perfect and I’m so honored to have been a part of it!
