This unique wedding day was everything bright, romantic, and unique. The stylist and florist created a stunning tablescape with pops of color, exotic fruit accent pieces. In addition, the vintage flatware came from a rental company who sources their rentals from local thrift stores.
The venue itself is a rare remodeled mansion in the heart of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It has eccentric details and original character that make it so charming for wedding days. In addition, they had a wedding cake to match the theme and color palette of the day. Every wedding detail was on trend and perfectly curated.
If you’re wondering how to plan a wedding that is unique and beautifully curated like this one, then here’s a few tips and advice I took away from this day.
Unique Wedding Details
Come prepared to your wedding day with lots of details! This includes things like your shoes, jewelry, perfume, ribbons, polaroid photos, vow books, wedding invite paper suite, etc. The more details that your photographer has to work with, the more bespoke your detail photos will be.
Another tip for detail photos is to ask your florist for a few leftover blooms or loose stems. These add such a beautiful touch to those detail photos as well.
When you get your wedding photo gallery back, the detail photos are what really set the scene for the wedding day. So give your photographer lots of details that fit your wedding color palette and theme, and you’ll be so happy with the results.
Trust Your Wedding Vendors
If coordinating all these details and brainstorming ways to have a unique wedding seems overwhelming, then hire a team of skilled wedding vendors. The more you can trust your vendors, the better your wedding experience will be.
For example, the florist and the stylist had the idea to incorporate exotic fruits and citrus into the wedding table decor. And just look at how beautiful it turned out!! Hire a team you can trust. Then give them the creative freedom and liberty to make your wedding vision come to life.
Eliminate “Have To’s”
Lastly, as you plan your wedding just keep in mind that there are no ‘have to’s.’ You don’t have to have a cake. You don’t have to wear white. You don’t have to invite 100+ guests. You don’t have to do anything that doesn’t feel like YOU!
I promise you that you will have a happier, more meaningful wedding experience if you disregard all the things you ‘should’ do, and only do the things that you really want to do.
